She is home...

The bus rolled up around 3:45 a.m. and the waiting family & friends burst into applause--they were home! Alexandra hugged us long & hard and then would pull back, look at us and say "hiiii" in a voice that sounded like she almost couldn't believe that she was there. When we got home she talked for about an hour non-stop--just pouring out all that she'd seen and experienced. She saw Jesus in little Nicaraguan faces, in big sophomore boys carrying kids on their shoulders for hours on end, in leaders' educating her about the plight of the country and the poor there. She missed her sister terribly she said.
She's sleeping now--what lies ahead for this new missionary? For all these precious kids who took 10 days out of their summer vacation to serve "these--the least of my brothers & sisters"?
Abba Father, give them courage to continue serving--here & now in Williamsburg. Give us humility--to be challenged by their new eyes & hearts. Thank you, Jesus, for Your faithfulness--for answering our prayers in a million miraculous ways. And all God's people said, "AMEN!!!!"
